11th Annual JuBell-ee Handbell Festival
May 2 @ 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm

This handbell festival brings more than a dozen regional handbell choirs and 100 ringers together for a day-long workshop, culminating in a concert for the public to benefit a small local charity.

Imagine the scene… scores of handbell ringers; their shining bells glinting under the lights, all playing innovative music in synchronized motion. People who have had the pleasure of witnessing just such a scene look forward to seeing and hearing it again. People who have had the privilege of participating in this bell festival look forward to their next chance to play in that setting and re-establish the bonds they’ve formed with other ringers. On May 2, 2015, players and listeners both will have a chance to experience the glory of a handbell festival at JuBell-ee Festival 2015.

This gathering and concert will be presented as a fundraiser for Carrie Lynn Children’s Center in Rockford, IL. CLCC, in cooperation with local law enforcement, provides immediate and confidential support for children in abusive situations.

This year’s guest clinician will be Cathy Moklebust from Eagle Grove, IA. Ms. Moklebust is a nationally known composer, arranger, and clinician of handbell music. Her music has been described as “pure joy to ring and listen to, having a uniquely delightful sense of melodic and rhythmic interaction, with elegant form and style”.
