Pasta and Broccoli

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. pasta shells
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 tsp. crushed garlic
  • 5 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1 qt. half and half
  • 1 lb. frozen or fresh cooked broccoli cuts
  • 1-1/2 c. parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare pasta.
  • Place half and half, butter, garlic and mushrooms in a saucepan and simmer 10 minutes.
  • Add broccoli and bring to low boil. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Drain pasta and add sauce.
  • Bring to a boil and cook until sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and add parmesan cheese gradually to obtain smooth consistency.
