Thumbprint cookie
Ingredients:
1/2 C shortening
1/4 C brown sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 C flour
Directions:
Combine shorteign, brown sugar, egg yolk and vanilla
Add flour.
Roll in 1 inch ball
drip in 1 egg white, whipped
Roll in chopped nut meats
Roll into 1 inch ball
dip in 1 egg white, whipped
Roll in nut meats
Bake @ 350degrees F
8 minutes then press thumb into cookie center and continue baking 2 more minutes
Cool
Put frosting to center of cookie
Bright red and green for Christmas cookie
