Rock Candy
Ingredients:
2 c. granulated sugar
1 c. water
3/4 c. light karo syrup
1 t. flavoring (we use LorAnn Oils)
food coloring
Directions:
Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil and sprinkle powdered sugar over it. Mix sugar, water and karo syrup medium heat until sugar dissolves. Boil to 310 degrees without stirring. Hard crack will occur when mixture is drizzled into cold water. Stir in flavoring and food coloring. Pour mixture onto aluminum foil covered with powdered sugar. allow to set up then break into pieces.
