ENGLISH FUDGE
Ingredients:
6 cups sugar
1 large and 1 small can evaporated milk
1 pint Karo syrup
!, pound butter
1 TBSP vanilla
English walnuts
Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, milk and butter. Cook over medium heat
to full boil. Reduce heat and continue cooking, stirring occasionally,
until it will form a solid ball when dropped in cold water.
Mixture will look curdled when cooking. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla. Beat until it begins to lose its sheen and is
very stiff. Add nuts and pour into buttered pan.
Makes a large amount.
