Glory Bee Quilts
The Salt Creek Patchmakers Quilt Guild presents, “Glory Bee Quilts” for their annual quilt show. It will be held Friday and Saturday, March 22 – 23, 2024 at Little Galilee Christian Camp in Clinton. Show will be open from 9 am to 6 pm on Friday and 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday. Admission is $8 per person, children under 12 free.
This year’s theme Glory Bee Quilts includes a special guild category allowing members to show some projects that have been shown in years past to be brought back out and show their full glory again. “Sewing bees” have traditionally been more than just a way for women to engage in a shared craft – they also provided and continue to provide a vital support system! Being a member of a quilt guild/”sewing bee,” not only provides the opportunity to help our community and learn from one another as we grow as quilters. We are a family, so we invite you to come out and join us!
Non-voting exhibits include the Guild Challenge, the Winner’s Showcase and the guild’s “Glory Days” projects.
A special bed-turning event will be featured at 10:30 a.m., 1 p.m., and 3 p.m. daily. This year’s bed-turning will feature one of our members Illene Tucker. We will be sharing the history of her collection in front of the stage in the activity center.
Along with the annual show, vendors will be featured in a Quilting Expo and will have supplies,
fabrics and notions available for sale. In addition, members who have spent time cleaning out their sewing rooms will have pre-owned quilting supplies, books and more for sale in the activity center. Lunch options will be available in our Quilt Show Cafe.
