Strawberry Candy

Ingredients:
(3) 3 oz Packages Strawberry Jello
1 Can Eagle Brand Milk
1-1/2 cups grated pecans
1 t vanilla
1/3 Cup sugar – tinted red
1 can or package of slivered almonds
1-1/2 cups coconut
green food coloring
Directions:
Mix jello, pecans, coconut, milk & vanilla together. Shape the mixture by hand into small size strawberries about 1-1/2 to 2 inches long. Once shaped, place the berry on wax paper and chill for about 1 hour. Remove strawberries from refrigerator and roll gently in red tinted sugar making sure the strawberry is covered. Use the almonds for the stems of the strawberry. I tint the stems with green food coloring and then stick the almond sliver into the largest end of the berry.
Strawberries are nicely presented in a Christmas Tin with a paper doily in the bottom.
