Chocolate
Homemade cookies – use your favorite cookie recipe
Small ornaments
Popcorn
Mugs
Small nutcracker
Nuts ~ in the shell
Coffee (bagged or pods)
Tea
Glass bottled soda or root beer
Candy canes
Hot chocolate mix ~ make your own in a jar
Kitchen Christmas towels or potholders,
Gum
Cookie mix ~ make your own in a jar
Cardboard box
Basket filler
Cellophane wrap
Bow
Directions:
I added basket filler to a decorarated cardboard basket. I filled it with my choice of the above items, and then used the cellophane wrap with a bow to complete the look.
Some items can be purchased at the Dollar Tree store, local grocery store, or Walmart These baskets can be less than $5.00 or according to your budget. If your neighbor is Diabetic, include sugar-free candy, fruits, popcorn, and nuts.
