“Spice Cake In A Jar”2

Ingredients:
2/3 cup shortening 2 2/3 cup sugar 2 cups applesause 2/3 cup water 4 eggs 2/3 cup nuts (optional) 3 1/3 cup flour 1/2 t. Baking powder 1 1/2 t. Salt 2 t. Baking soda 1 t. Cloves 1 t. Cinnamon
Directions:
Cream shorting & sugar add applesauce, water, eggs & mix well Mix dry ingredients in another bowl & add to first mixture. Add nuts if desired. Spray wide mouth jars with pam & fill 6-8 jars bake 325 exactly 45 min. Remove jars one at a time & quickly sctew the lid on each jar
