Korean BBQ Bulgogi

  • 1 lb. chuck roast thinly sliced
  • 5 T. soy sauce
  • 2-1/2 T. sugar
  • 1 T. minced garlic
  • 2 T. rice wine vinegar
  • 1 T. grated pear or apple
  • 1/8 t. ground black pepper
  • 1 T. sesame oil


  • Place beef in a bowl.
  • Combine soy sauce, sugar, garlic, sesame oil, grated pear or apple, rice wine vinegar and black pepper. Pour over beef and mix well.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  • You can grill or pan-fry. Can also add vegetables like onions, carrots, mushrooms, etc.
