Jalapeno & Cilantro Hummus


  • 2-15.5 oz. cans chickpeas (garbanzo beans) rinsed and drained
  • 3 cloves garlic crushed
  • 3 T. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 1/2 c. cilantro chopped
  • 2 JalapeƱo pepers seeded and choppedl


  • Place garlic in a food processor until minced, add beans, lemon juice and salt. Process into a puree.
  • With the processor running, slowly add olive oil in a steady stream.
  • Add cilantro and jalapenos. Process until mixture thickens and ingredients are completely mixed.
