Reserving the juice, drain the pears and place them cut side up in an 8-inch square microwave-safe dish. Add 6 tablespoons of pear juice to the bottom of the dish.
Mix the sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle over pears.
Zest and peel the lemon, reserving the zest. Cut paper-thin slices of the lemon and place a slice on each pear. Top each pear with a marshmallow.
Microwave on high for 4 minutes. Keep an eye on the marshmallows while cooking to make sure they don’t explode or burn. Top the marshmallows with lemon zest.
