Yum Yum Cake

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Topping:
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 1 cup pecans chopped
Preheat oven to 325 F.
In a medium bowl, cream butter with a hand mixer until soft. Add sugar and cream until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
In a separate bowl, sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream into the wet ingredients, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in the vanilla.
Pour half of the batter into a 9X9-inch baking pan. Cover with half of the topping. Pour remaining batter over the topping and sprinkle the rest of the nut mixture over the top.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until done.
