Ingredients
1cuprolled oats
1/2cupwalnuts
1teaspoonturmeric
1teaspooncumin
1teaspoonsmoked paprika
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoongarlic powder
1 15-ouncecan black beansdrained and rinsed
1/2cupmushroomschopped
1/4cupchopped onionsfresh or pickled
3tablespoonstahini
2teaspoonssoy sauce
2teaspoonsvegan Worcestershire
1tablespoonground flax seed
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 F and place a rack in the top slot.
In a food processor, process the first 7 ingredients until a loose meal texture forms. Add remaining ingredients and process until well combined. You want it to have a texture similar to ground meat and not too smooth. If the mixture is too dry or won’t come together, slowly add water 1 tablespoon at a time.
Once processed, form into 4 equal patties. Place patties on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes, flipping halfway through.
