Lemon Garlic Asparagus

fresh asparagus
woody ends removed
2
teaspoons
garlic
chopped
2
teaspoons
olive oil
2
teaspoons
salted butter
1/4
cup
almonds
slivered
Salt and pepper
to taste
Instructions
Blanch asparagus by adding them to boiling water for 1-2 minutes and then placing them in an ice water bath.
Place olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and combined. Saute garlic for 1-2 minutes.
Add the asparagus, toss to cover, remove from heat, and salt and pepper to taste.
Plate and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
