Lemon Garlic Asparagus

Ingredients
- 1 bunch fresh asparagus woody ends removed
- 2 teaspoons garlic chopped
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salted butter
- 1/4 cup almonds slivered
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Blanch asparagus by adding them to boiling water for 1-2 minutes and then placing them in an ice water bath.
- Place olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and combined. Saute garlic for 1-2 minutes.
- Add the asparagus, toss to cover, remove from heat, and salt and pepper to taste.
- Plate and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
