Lemon Garlic Asparagus

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus woody ends removed
  • 2 teaspoons garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salted butter
  • 1/4 cup almonds slivered
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  • Blanch asparagus by adding them to boiling water for 1-2 minutes and then placing them in an ice water bath.
  • Place olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and combined. Saute garlic for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the asparagus, toss to cover, remove from heat, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Plate and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
