Oven-Made Caramel Corn

- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 5 quarts popped popcorn
Preheat oven to 250 F.
Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil to a firm ball stage (248 F).
Remove from heat and add baking soda. Mix with popcorn.
Place popcorn on sheet pans and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool.
