Oven-Made Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 5 quarts popped popcorn

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 250 F.
  • Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt in a saucepan over medium heat. Boil to a firm ball stage (248 F).
  • Remove from heat and add baking soda. Mix with popcorn.
  • Place popcorn on sheet pans and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Cool.
