Salute the Troops
In a heartfelt tribute to the brave souls who have served and continue to serve in our armed forces, the Morgan County Fair, in collaboration with WW2 Armor, is proud to announce the “Salute the Troops” event. This special occasion is set to take place on Wednesday, July 10th, starting at 6:00 PM, and aims to honor our nation’s veterans with a unique and memorable experience.
The evening will kick off with a moving speech from a distinguished Veteran speaker, setting the tone for an evening of gratitude and remembrance. Attendees will then have the rare opportunity to meet directly with the crews of World War II tanks, thanks to the participation of WW2 Armor. This hands-on experience allows attendees to get up close and personal with the historical tanks, providing a tangible link to the past and the monumental efforts of our military personnel.
Following the meet and greet, the event will shift to the grandstand, where the WWII tanks will showcase their capabilities through various maneuvers and operations. The night will reach its climax with a thrilling display of the tanks’ firepower, as they shoot off blank rounds, thrilling the audience with a demonstration of their might and the technological advancements of their time.
In a gesture of appreciation and respect, all veterans are kindly requested to register for the event. This is to ensure that every veteran in attendance can be properly accommodated and recognized. Importantly, there is no cost for veterans to register, and their privacy is respected with a commitment to not send out unsolicited emails. This event is unambiguously dedicated to acknowledging the sacrifices and valour of our veterans and those currently serving in the military.
