Belden School Open House
Step into a bygone era at the historic 1859 limestone one-room schoolhouse, nestled in The Galena Territory just off Heatherdowns Lane. This charming building has been lovingly preserved to offer a glimpse into the past, with open houses held on the first and third Saturdays from June through October. Free but donations are appreciated.
Knowledgeable volunteer docents will greet you with captivating stories about the school’s history, sharing insights into the daily lives of the students who once filled its desks.
