Illinois Electric Cooperative (IEC), Winchester, joined the CHARGE network in March, becoming the third Illinois electric cooperative to join.
CHARGE is a national electric vehicle (EV) charging brand powered by electric cooperatives that also invests in EV-focused companies. CHARGE affiliates are part of a growing brand that leads a nationwide cooperation among cooperatives effort (the sixth Cooperative Principle) to help promote and educate members about EVs.
“To continue as a trusted energy advisor to our members, we want to expand our electric vehicle knowledge and educational opportunities,” IEC General Manager Randy Long said. “The CHARGE community is a hub of innovative ideas and opportunities to support EV adoption among our members.”
