During Electric Cooperative Lobby Day on April 10, State Senator Christopher Belt (D-57) received the 2025 Illinois Electric Cooperatives’ Public Service Award. The award is given in recognition of dedicated public service to all citizens of the state of Illinois and for outstanding contributions to the rural electrification program. The Association of Illinois Electric Cooperative’s VP of Government Relations Nick Reitz, Legal and Government Relations Coordinator Baylee Flowers, President/CEO Craig Sondgeroth and Clinton County Electric Cooperative President/COO Bob Kroeger presented Belt (center) with the award.
