Blue Lemonade

Blue Lemonade

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water divided
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 6 lemons zest and juice
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, heat 2 cups water with sugar over medium heat until sugar has dissolved. Continue to heat for 5 more minutes until it thickens.
  • Add the remaining water and the lemon zest and juice. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
  • In a blender or food processor, puree the blackberries and blueberries and add them to the water mixture. Sit at room temperature for 2 hours.
  • Strain mixture into a pitcher and chill.
