Candy Cane Snowballs

Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar.
  2. Stir in vanilla.
  3. Gradually add flour.
  4. Stir in pecans.
  5. Refrigerate for 3-4 hours or until easy to handle.
  6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets.
  8. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool.
  9. In a microwave safe bowl, melt candy coating, stir until smooth.
  10. Dip the top of each cooled cookie into the candy coating, then into the peppermint candy.
