Wine Jelly

Ingredients:
3 cups sugar
2 cups of a relatively good drinking wine
3 oz. liquid fruit pectin
4 blocks paraffin
Makes 6 glasses
Directions:
Place sugar and wine in top of a double boiler over medium heat; stirring 3-4 minutes til sugar melts
Remove from heat and and immediately stir in fruit pectin. Skim off foam if necessary
Place metal spoon in hot sterilized wine glass and pour in wine 1/4 inch from top
Melt 2 blocks paraffin
Pour a 1/16 layer in each glass; turning glass to make sure paraffin gets to sides of glass
Melt 2 more blocks of paraffin and whip with electric mixer
Top each glass with some of this foam to appear as a frothy “glass of wine”
