Bugle Mix

Ingredients:
13 ounce Bag of Bugles
1-2 cup nuts( any kind, I prefer cashews)
1 stick margarine
1/4 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white syrup
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
Directions:
Place Bugles and nuts in large mixing bowl and set aside. In saucepan, add rest of ingredients, except baking soda. Bring to rolling boil over medium heat. Remove from heat, and stir in baking soda. Pour mixture over Bugles and nuts, stir throughly. Spread mixture in 2 baking sheets. Bake in 225 degree preheated oven for 1 hour. Stir every 20 minutes. After baking for 1 hour, stir while on baking sheet. Let cool. Enjoy.
I think this is a terrific snack, it packs and mails well. My father thinks that the small crumbs in the bottom of the container, make great topping for ice cream.
