Fresh Apple Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups apples peeled and chopped
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Frosting:

  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 pound powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease and flour an 8X13-inch pan.
  • Beat sugar, eggs and oil together with mixer until well blended. Mix in flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Fold in apples and walnuts.
  • Pour into prepared pan. Bake 30-40 minutes, or until done.
  • Blend all frosting ingredients together and spread on the cooled cake.
