Peach Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 cups fresh or frozen peaches chopped
  • 1/2 cup sweet onion chopped fine
  • 1/2 jalapeno seeded and minced
  • 1/3 cup sweet red pepper chopped fine
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon peach jam
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 dash salt to taste
  • 1 dash cumin to taste
  • Tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix all ingredients together and adjust for taste.
  • For a spicier salsa, add the entire jalapeno. For a sweeter salsa, add up to 1/2 cup sugar.
  • Serve with tortilla chips.

Notes

Nadig suggests topping pork chops with the salsa or blending it to create a glaze for ham or sauce for ribs.
