1 box of Ghirardelli Caramel Turtle Brownie Mix
1/2 stick of softened butter
18 pecan halves
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix dry brownie ingredients with egg and softened butter in a large bowl with electric mixer on low until it forms into dough. Scoop 1 rounded tablespoon of dough onto ungreased cookie sheet for each cookie. Press an imprint in center of each cookie. Fill impression with caramel (included in box). Top each cookie caramel center with a pecan. Bake for 11 to 13 minutes.
Allow to cool on cookie sheet until firm. Then move to cookie rack to cool completely.
Makes 18 cookies.
A co-worker brought these cookies in for a Christmas cookie contest and won first prize. I tried the cookies on my family and they loved them. I’ve been making the recipe ever since.
