Brown Sugar Spice Cookie

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 up softened butter, 2 cups packed brown sugar, 1 egg, 4 cups all purpose flour, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 and 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg, 1 tsp ground cloves, 1/2 tsp baking soda

Directions:

Cream Butter and brown sugar. add egg. Beat until light and fluffy. Sift flour with spices and soda. add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Cover and chill until firm (about 2 hours).
On floured surface roll dough to 1/8″ thickness, cut into shapes with small cookie cutters- like 2 and 1/2″ gingerbread or tree cutters. Bake at 350 degrees for about 8 minutes or until lightly browned.
