Pumpkin Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup brown sugar, 1 and 1/4 cup shortening, 1 egg, 1 cup pumpkin, 2 cup flour, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp soda.
Frosting: 1 tsp butter, 1/4 cup pumpkin, powdered sugar, 1 Tbs Milk
Directions:
Mix sugar, shortening and egg. Add pumpkin. Mix well. Sift dry ingredients and add to mixture. mix well. Drop on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees. When slightly cooled, frost cookies.
Frosting directions: cream butter, milk and pumpkin. mix, then add powdered sugar till right consistency.
