2015 Recipe Contest Submissions

Pecan Candy


1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
2 tablespoons water
1 ½ cups pecan halves
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips


Combine butter, sugar, water, and syrup.
Cook to 290 degrees. Use candy thermometer
to test. Put the pecan halves into the cooked
mixture and poor mixture onto the greased
cookie sheet. Cover with chocolate chips.
The chips will melt to cover the candy.
Cut candy into desired squares before
putting cookie sheet into the refrigerator
to harden or break up after hardened.
