2015 Recipe Contest Submissions

Granddad’s Chocolate Roll


1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
1/4 pound dipping chocolate
16 large marshmallows
1 cup raisins
2 tablespoons milk
3 drops peppermint


melt marshmallows in milk in double boiler.
stir until creamy
melt chocolate.
completely combine melted chocolate, raisins, nuts, peppermint with marshmallows and milk.
form into roll on waxed paper (easiest to put on waxed paper and wrap, then form roll)
cool for several hours and then slice, like cookies
store on layers of waxed paper in cookie tin in refrigerator.
