Peppermint Oreo Bark Candy

Ingredients:

1 lb  vanilla candy coating or almond bark
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tbsp butter (melted)
15 Oreos crushed 
5 tbsp crushed candy cane; note: 1 candy cane = 1 tbsp (I use a food processor to crush candy canes)

Directions:

1.  Melt the vanilla candy coating; see note below
2.  Add oil & butter to your chocolate and stir well.
3.  Add 2/3 (10) of crushed oreos.  Mix well.
4. Cover a regular size cookie sheet with foil.
5. Spread to the thickness you want it to be.
6.  Sprinkle reserved crushed oreos (5) and crushed candy cane on top.
7.  Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
8.  Break into smaller pieces.  Enjoy!

Easy way to melt vanilla candy coating . . . 
In a glass or metal bowl that can fit over the top of a pot without it falling inside
Add 2-3 inches of water to the pot and bring to a boil.
Reduce the heat and place the bowl on top.
Add chocolate, oil and butter as directed above.
This works better than melting in microwave.
