2015 Recipe Contest Submissions



1 Cup Almond Slices
1 Cup Margarine
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
1 12 oz. Package Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Cups Chopped Pecans


Line a baking sheet with foil. Spread almond slices into a single layer. Covering approximately and 9×11 area.
In a saucepan, combine margarine, sugar, vanilla and salt. Cook over high heat, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Continue with a full rolling boil for 5-7 minutes or until candy is a golden brown color. (You will see it change color). Immediately pour over almonds. Cool completely.
Melt chocolate chips. Spread over toffee. Sprinkle with pecan pieces.
Allow to set. Break toffee into pieces. Store in a tightly covered container.
