2015 Recipe Contest Submissions



2 cups white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup evaporated milk
1 pint heavy whipping cream
1 cup butter
1-1/4 teaspoons vanilla


Lightly grease 9×13 or 12×15-inch pan. In medium pot, combine sugar, brown sugar, corn syrup, evaporated milk, whipping cream and butter. Cook until 250 F on candy thermometer. Remove pot from heat. Add vanilla. Nuts can be added if desired. Transfer mixture to prepared pan and let cool completely. When cool, cut into small squares and wrap in waxed paper.
