Grandma Fern Wernz’s Sour Cream Fudge


2 C sugar
½ C sour cream
1/3 C white syrup
1 T butter
¼ t salt
1 t vanilla


Combine all but vanilla. Bring to boil slowly, stirring until sugi
is dissolved. Boil without stirring over medium heat until
dropped in cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from heat and
let stand a few minutes. Add vanilla and beat until it loses its
gloss. Pour into 8 inch square buttered pan. Cool. Cut before
completely cool.
