Homemade Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups onion diced
  • 2 cups sweet pepper diced
  • 16 cups tomato juice
  • 1/2 cup garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons oregano
  • 3 tablespoons paprika
  • 3 tablespoons fennel seeds crushed
  • 2 tablespoons basil
  • 2 tablespoons thyme
  • 2 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/8 cup salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 4-5 cans tomato paste

Instructions

  • Blend onions and sweet peppers until smooth.
  • Combine all ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil on the stovetop.
  • Reduce to a simmer and cook down to pizza sauce consistency.
  • Place in small containers and freeze or use a pressure canner to preserve.
