Pulled Turkey Sliders with Cranberry Barbecue Sauce
Yields: enough sauce for 1-2 pounds of meat
Ingredients
- 1 14-ounce can whole or jellied cranberries
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup water
- Turkey
- Dinner rolls
- Coleslaw
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine first 11 ingredients.
- Over medium heat, bring to a gentle boil and reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
- Add a little more water if it gets too thick. Let cool to room temperature.
- In a bowl, shred warmed turkey. Stir in enough barbecue sauce to coat.
- Cut dinner rolls in half. Top with turkey and coleslaw.
