Pulled Turkey Sliders with Cranberry Barbecue Sauce

Yields: enough sauce for 1-2 pounds of meat

Ingredients

  • 1 14-ounce can whole or jellied cranberries
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Turkey
  • Dinner rolls
  • Coleslaw

Instructions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine first 11 ingredients.
  • Over medium heat, bring to a gentle boil and reduce to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
  • Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until sauce thickens.
  • Add a little more water if it gets too thick. Let cool to room temperature.
  • In a bowl, shred warmed turkey. Stir in enough barbecue sauce to coat.
  • Cut dinner rolls in half. Top with turkey and coleslaw.

Note: Adjust the ingredients based on the amount of cranberries you have.
