Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1-1/2 cups bran flakes cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Prepare a Bundt pan with butter and flour.
  • In a large bowl, sift together dry ingredients.
  • Add wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Fold in bran flakes, chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes, or until done.
  • Cool completely and remove from pan.
  • Drizzle with a thin powdered sugar and milk mixture.
