Fire & Ice Pickles

Ingredients:
2 (16 oz) jars hamburger slices dill pickles
4 cups sugar-do not use less
1 tsp hot sauce
1 tsp cayenne pepper flakes
1 tsp celery seed
Directions:
Drain both jars of pickles and place in GLASS bowl. Add all other ingredients. DO NOT STIR. Sit on counter covered with towel for 4 hours. Stir well after the initial 4 hours. Let rest for 4 more hours, then stir well again. (let rest again for a couple hours if sugar is NOT totally dissolved.)
If all sugar has dissolved scoop into jars or gift containers. Refrigerate at least 2 days before giving away. These pickles are best kept in refrigerator for many weeks.
