Clinton County Electric Cooperative (CCEC) recently aided the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) by constructing an osprey nesting platform at Hazlet State Park.
Phil Borsdorf, IDNR natural heritage biologist, contacted CCEC Operations Superintendent Brian Taylor and requested assistance. CCEC lineworkers Jacob Haselhorst, John Schroeder and Kyle Wiegmann provided the muscle to erect the platform.
Osprey are an endangered species and the assistance CCEC makes their removal from the list one step closer.
