Funnel Cakes

Ingredients
- 3 eggs beaten
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- oil for frying
- Confectioners sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs, milk and dry ingredients. Mix until smooth. Heat oil on the stove until hot. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter through a funnel and fry until golden brown, turning once. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or cinnamon sugar and serve on generic white paper plates - just like at the fair.
