- 1-1/2 Cups sugar
- 1 Cup shortening
- 3 Cups flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 Cup Sour milk
- 1 Teaspoon Ground cloves
- 1 Cup Jam
- 3/4 Cup Raisins or nuts
- 1 Teaspoon baking soda
- 1 Teaspoon Allspice
- 6 Tablespoons butter melted
- 1/4 Cup milk
- 1 Teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 Cup Brown sugar
- 1 Cup coconut
- 1/2 Cup nuts

Instructions
- Mix sugar, shortening, flour, eggs, milk, cloves, jam, raisins or nuts, baking soda and allspice together. Pour into a 9x13-inch cake pan and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Top with brown sugar icing. Brown Sugar Icing: Cook butter, milk, vanilla, brown sugar, coconut and nuts together on the stovetop until thick.
