Fresh Apple Cake

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups salad oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons soda
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 medium apples chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup nuts optional


  • Blend sugar, oil, eggs and apples.
  • Add dry ingredients and vanilla.
  • Bake in large baking pan (Bundt pan) at 300 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
  • Needs no frosting. Enjoy.


This recipe is so special. Fresh Apple Cake was served at my baby shower. My Grandma Boyett, my mom Shirley Martin and myself each made this cake for the baby shower of my daughter Emily. We still make this special cake today in honor of all the great grandmas and grandmas.
