Apple Crisp

Ingredients

  • 6-8 apples peeled and sliced
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups sugar divided
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • Place sliced apples in a greased 7x10-inch baking dish. Mix water and vanilla together and sprinkle over apples. Combine cinnamon with 1/2 cup sugar and pour over apples.
  • Mix flour, baking powder, 1-1/2 cups sugar and egg together until crumbly. Cover apples with the mixture and add a dash of cinnamon on top. Pour melted butter over the top.
  • Bake for 50 minutes, or until browned to your liking. Serve warm with or without ice cream.
