April Checklist

  • Travelers beware.
Before you plan that summer trip abroad, be aware that measles remains a common disease in many parts of the world. Make sure you and your family are up to date on measles vaccinations.
  • Safety first.
Help keep loved ones safe by changing and testing all batteries in home smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
  • Save energy.
With the weather warming, consider hanging laundry outside or on a rack to dry instead of using your clothes dryer.
  • Tip of the month: Every appliance has two price tags – the purchase price and the operating cost.
Consider both before buying and look for the Energy Star® label.
