Scott’s Law. Illinois law requires drivers to move over or slow down when approaching ANY vehicle displaying flashing emergency lights, including commercial trucks and cars. Slow down, change lanes, if possible, and always proceed with caution.

Picnic protection. Perishable food should not sit out for more than two hours. In hot weather (above 90 degrees), food should NEVER sit out for more than one hour.

Tip of the month: Wait until you get home to post those vacation photos. It’s fun to share photos, but when you do it while on vacation you are also letting everyone else know you are not home.
