Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 pound steak cut into strips
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1-1/2 cups celery cut diagonally
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup onion chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 beef bouillon cubes
  • 2 bell peppers cut in strips
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Cooked rice

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown meat and add onion, celery, garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, bouillon and bell peppers. Simmer until vegetables are tender.
  • Mix corn starch, soy sauce and water and pour into skillet. Stir mixture until sauce thickens.
  • Serve over cooked rice.
