Rhubarb Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1-1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 c. sour milk
- 2 c. rhubarb cut fine
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. nuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Cream shortening and sugar, egg and vanilla.
- Add sour milk alternately with dry ingredients.
- Stir in rhubarb.
- Pour into a 9x13” greased pan.
- Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top before baking.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- Serve plain or with whipped cream.
